MICHAEL WEISER

I was born and raised in California, and spent most of my childhood in the East Bay region of California in a quiet little city called Lafayette.

My passion for photography started early, at around age 10. I always envisioned myself as a photojournalist and travel photographer and my influences are photographers such as Henri Cartier-Bresson, Robert Frank, Sebastião Salgado, Steve McCurry and Alex Webb, and master color photographers such as William Eggleston, Stephen Shore and Ernst Haas.

I attended Brooks Institute of Photography and shot professionally for the Santa Barbara News-Press. A proud moment in my career was attending the Eddie Adams Workshop in 2002 where 100 invited photographers from around the world photographed the 1 year anniversary of 9/11 in NYC.

I hope you enjoy viewing my work, and please feel free to use the contact page to get in touch, or reach out via Instagram or Facebook.
